Re: SAE bolt pattern on 4-239 engine?
Hi Leonard, here is a quick answer. SAE established some standard bolt patterns for bell housings years ago, based on engine sizes. The bell housing would match the mounting holes of the engine block and the transmission side would generally be round with a specific bolt size/pattern for a transmiss...

Re: 450C track loader hose replacement question
Fun, fun , fun. Search Loader hose replacement and there are several threads about this. That will give you some info to study until some of the guys who have actually done it come along. I consider myself lucky, I only have had to change a couple bucket hoses over the years, the ones in the open. Y...

Re: SAE bolt pattern on 4-239 engine?
I don't think they are SAE, I believe they are a proprietary John Deere design.

Re: Figured out why I keep dropping track
The brackets' shaft bores don't get lube. If the seals on the idler are good, the lube (grease) stays between the seals, in the bushing area of the idler wheel. The shaft is supposed to be tight in the brackets, held from turning by the set screw and clamped tight to both brackets by the nuts on the...

Re: New to me 450G
The issues with harness connectors and bad connections is universal, so unplugging, checking the connectors (look for corrosion and wire ends that have slipped back in the connectors), checking fuses and breakers, and looking for disconnected/broken wires won't hurt. It is not uncommon on the AG tra...

Re: New to me 450G
Welcome to the Board. Your 450G is on the new side of things for most of us here, so hands on experience will be small, compared to the number of older 450 owners here. Your transmission, steering and brakes are different, so any books we have (like my 450E ones) won't help. Your brake issue may be ...

Re: 2010 injector line order
This link should take you to the parts book page with the injector line arrangements. It appears there were two different ones. Hopefully this helps.

Re: JD1010 Clutch setup
Welcome to the board. First question do you have the service manual (John Deere publication SM2034) and the parts catalogl (PC727) for it. Here is a link to PC727 at the John Deere parts catalog site if you don't have one. https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/navigation/equipment/77299/level/2/snp/ND...

Re: 50 / 50 Dextron ok on a 420c
Are you asking about a 50/50 mix of Dex-cool antifreeze and water for coolant, or a 50/50 mix of Deron (aka Dextron) ATF and something for a fluid in some location? If you are asking about coolant, a 50/50 mix of straight antifreeze and water coolant generally gives about -34F protection, which is a...

Re: 350 steering clutches
I agree, start with an email to Lavoy (postmaster@jdcrawlers.com) explaining what you require. For parts sales and such correspondence email or phone is best. I don't know if he ships to Ireland, but he might know of a source of quality parts, that has distributors in your region. Lacking other sour...

Re: 400G crawler top rollers
That seems strange, but nothing is truly surprising around parts these days. The online parts books show the same (upper) carrier roll shell and bushings for the 350D and 400G. Some of the other sub components that go with the shell and support to make up a complete assembly are different. The JD co...

Re: 400G crawler top rollers
Where are you checking? The 350D and 355D used that same carrier roll (AT132705 for the roller shell with bushings), doesn't seem that would be unavailable at all suppliers. There was a post by Kaiverol a couple weeks ago about replacing one (different part number) on his 350B, yours is newer so I b...
