Basic loader control valve flow-direction question...

Maybe a stupid question, but I don't want to assume- Can I flip inputs for my two main (SAE16/1") inputs on the manifold, and run my main pump line into the port that runs to my backhoe, and vice versa? (please see pic) It's pretty much just a main/secondary always live continuous loops now. So I wo...

Re: Trans-reverser joiner-stud snap :( how the F...

If you can't get the broken stud out without a tear down, the normal approach is from the front (engine) back. I would replace both studs and the capscrews that hold that joint together, they have all likely been stressed. Use the proper hardware from JD to replace them. I think I've got the right ...

Ripper masts needed (single parts only)

Hey everyone, I've amassed most the parts for a 3100 ripper, but still lacking the masts (see pic). I can probably fabricate something that would work- but certainly get tired of having to "build everything," ya know? Anyways, if anyone has these masts to part with, please let me know. If you happen...

Wow, the insight on many fronts. B Town , that video was amazing and ingenious- my hat's off to the dude that thought that up. What freakin ninja. I might be able to do that. I also heard from what I consider a very knowledgeable guy, that I didn't have to worry about the whine too much. Without loo...

Trans-reverser joiner-stud snap :( how the F...

If anyone has knowledgeable insight and some good news that I'm not totally f*cked, it would make my day and be hugely appreciated. The part in the pic is about 4" long. Other 3 bolts are tight. I've been in hyd pump/system upgrade the past 3 weeks, but my reverser was running the same right before ...

350 vs 450 swap-compatible parts list

Hey everyone,

Is there a reference sheet somewhere on like parts? I have a 350C, but have found 450 parts machines more often than the 350's. Don't know how worth my while it would be.

Any input from the pro's would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Re: This hydraulic pump work for 350c upgrade?

Ok, just so I'm brutally crystal before I pull the trigger- Front facings like this pic, staring at the shaft is the read- thus a CCW. Sooo glad for that, cuz looking at the front of the pump is how I would have read it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W426egfARSJ3M-rbNrwCpd280jB50UXb/view?usp=shar...

Re: This hydraulic pump work for 350c upgrade?

Yeah, I mixed that up. I shoulda common-sense caught it though.

Veeery good insight on the CW/CCW vantage point- thank you. I did look at the direction arrow marked in the cast, but I think it faced the nose. Either way, I'll definitely double check. Thanks again!

This hydraulic pump work for 350c upgrade?

Hey everyone, Need to replace my hydraulic pump. My old one is a Cessna 24500-510C From what I’ve read, the loaders only came w/ a 15 gpm vs. a 23 gpm for it's dozer counterpart, so I’m eager to change that. The unit I'm looking at is below. It’s an 13T SAE B CW unit, so it "should" work. Please let...

Re: snap decision at JD350 wide-track at auction?

Jim, I love your last line lol. Do I need another project? No (sigh), I don't lol. But I could always use a parts machine if it were a steal. Until I got one ways. I guess I'll have to see where the auction goes and ultimately run with my gut. I have always loved those tracks though. I know it's LGP...

snap decision at JD350 wide-track at auction?

Hey guys, Didn't know what forum to post this in. But I wanted to get your 2 cents on something, the pros or the cons. The quick and short is I juuust found out about a 1983 JD 350 wide track six way at an auction in PA later today, and I don’t think it’s gonna get a lot of attention. I can’t find o...

Running a larger (78") Drott bucket on my JD350C?

Finding a 60" Drott 4-in-1 has been challenging to say the least. They're just hard to find, especially in decent condition. I do come across a fair amount of wider ones. That being said, I found this one bucket that's probably off a JD450 (maybe a 550?) https://www.machinerytrader.com/listings/cons...

Best sourcing for new hydraulic cylinders?

Are there any good stores or sites that someone recommends, for new replacement cylinders on my 350C? Or, should I be sourcing OEM cylinders instead? Does it matter? I found these OEM cylinders on Ebay, while sourcing for the new ripper bar I just bought. $300 for the pair new in the box seemed like...

Split shims for on-shaft spacing?

Got a fair amount of play in one of the cylinder points on my JD 9300 backhoe. It would be great to be able to shim it without having to take that whole thing apart. I'm sure I'm not the first to have this want, so I have got to think that it is already "a thing" and that there is some sort of piece...

Rippers off a JD550, fab brackets for a 450/350 rear mount?

Hey everyone, happy Memorial Day- So, I stumbled upon this set of rippers only 30 miles from my house, in totally amazing condition, and for a killer price. Here's a google drive link to a pic. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1W0BgD1PMhdekxAQ3W2vdTCJGLdMcRmVX Problem is, they are off a 550, and I h...
