Re: TO455DX715244

Hi Bruce, It appears they started using just the corporate address on the tags when they changed. All the tags on my 450E have: DEERE & COMPANY MOLINE ILLINIOS across the bottom of the tags. I'm thinking it was a change due to them having more worldwide manufacturing sites, the we're one company phi...

Re: Winter starting a 450C. Block heater? Tank heater? My options??

I would go to the back of the head before returning hot coolant next to the thermostat on the off chance it might open some and let hot coolant go to the radiator. That said the one on my 2030 is working on as it is plumbed, and exposure to damage is minimal. I keep it plugged in to a 15 amp wireles...

Re: TO455DX715244

Hi Bruce, That serial number a sequence looks like the one on my 450E dozer. If so the TO at the beginning is the build location, Dubuque Tractor Works. Then the model 455D, the X would be for loader configuration, followed by the six digit serial number. The T for the turbo on mine shows up on the ...

Re: 2010 injectors

Move the control handle both directions lift and lower. Does the handle return to center on its own if you let go of the handle from each direction? If it does not, confirm it is not binding due to bent or broken linkage around the handle. Once you have looked the linkage over and determined things ...

Re: 2000 series

Would that be a original John Deere SM 2037 service manual? Someone with a 2010 should want that, its good of you to offer it up. JD usually refers to the publication number; not just the title; for parts books, service manuals and operator's manuals, since the manual often changed to match changes ...

Re: Winter starting a 450C. Block heater? Tank heater? My options??

The on line parts catalog shows a tank heater for the 450C. https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/67823/referrer/search/pgId/132206 I don't know where the JD connection points on the engine were for their arrangement. That is a similar arrangement to the one I put on my 2030 wheel...

Re: 2010 injectors

What has lead you to believe you need to "clean" the injectors? As far as your blade controls. Study the linkage from the handle to the valve. Look for bent or stretched pins and links. If you clink on this link it should take you right to the parts catalog for the 622 blade. You will be able to see...

Contact Lavoy. He normally has the gauge (JD7) to set the pressure plate fingers with, in stock. Lavoy posted a copy of the JD service bulletin about using the gauge to set the fingers on the FAQ board. It is the second one down on the page.

Re: 2010 injectors

I would not disassemble and clean injectors. As far as I am concerned that needs to be done by someone with the proper tools and equipment to check spray patterns and set cracking pressures. JMHO You can find parts breakdowns in the on line parts catalogs, if you don't have a hard copy, but you need...

Re: 2000 series

Manual number SM2035? The first few pages give you a description. My understand is it is basically it is the different models (row crop, Hi crop, utility) of the 2010 wheel tractor. Some of the info is applicable to the 2010C but there is a separate manual (SM2037) for it.

Re: JD450C third head gasket This is getting old

I think the decal you have said "Service Dust Cup each 10 Hours More frequently under severe dust conditions". As a side note; according to what I see in the 450C decal kit, T27580 is superseded to T146605 which is available for about $18.50. On any machine I would expect to get just the oil in the ...

Maybe he browses at times without logging in. This was his only post. Last time he shows as active was 7/31/2016. There have been some others dealing with 350 wide tracks in the past year so hopefully someone will have something for you. Good luck.

Re: 1010 gas dozer

Welcome to the board. First thing, I believe the last 1010 was built in 1965 not 1969. Someone will speak up if I'm wrong on this. If you post you machine's serial number someone will be able to tell you the year. Is this a machine you have had for a time and it just developed this problem? Or did y...

Re: 450C hydraulic pumps - differences between 6 way and manual blade

Parts catalog shows the 15 gpm was used on 450Cs up to serial number 380045. Starting with 380046 the 19 gpm was used. Where does your serial number fall? The 23 gpm pump is not tied to any serial numbers. I suspect, as NWJD mentioned, the 23gpm was likely installed mainly on dozers equipped for/wit...

Re: JD 2010c Diesel No Start

I think you may be looking at the engine primer starting aid. There were a couple different tubing arrangements based on serial number, you can see them in the parts catalog. I believe the tube you are missing goes to the intake manifold.
