Looks and sounds good. If the winch worked it would be a good price at $5900. Anything you can get it reduced just sweetens the deal. gregjo1948

Let us know about it. The 6 way hydraulic blade is a plus. If it's a diesel, it will probably be a hard starter. Should not use starting fluid to assist.(can harm) Make sure the fuel primer and the glow plugs are working. I would rather have the gas engine due to the hard starting diesel.I believe,o...

If it's stopping when pulling the left steering handle, I'd say the problem is in the right side steering clutch pack. gregjo1948

The winch controller on the fender can be very expensive to repair. Hard to find parts and pricy when you do. I found a couple places with rebuilt controllers priced at $650.00 plus your core. I fabricated my own using 2 new single resevoir master cylinders. Using some scrap mounting steel, new brake...

If the tracks are tight, it seems like it would be a good time to measure for wear. Look to see how much farther the tracks can be tightened. Watch the front idlers when turning to see if there is slop or try to move them with a crow bar. Look at the sprockets to see how pointed the teeth are and if...

If both tracks are driving and you're not turning to one side, it is probably a stuck(frozen) clutch. This happens frequently when a machine has set idle for a while. You can sometimes free a clutch by bumping something solid. I like using a tree. While holding back the turn lever to the affected si...

If you're not turning to the right, the left clutch may be slipping. Put the machine in a situation that causes it to spin the tracks and see if both tracks are actually driving. gregjo1948

If your battery is charged, cables and connections are good, I think I would bench test the starter. Just because it's "new or rebuilt" doesn't mean that it's not defective. gregjo1948

If it's not rolling over at all, sounds like starter solenoid problem. If you try to hold the starter engaged, does anything get hot or start smoking? gregjo1948

Are you selling the whole machine or the loader and engine seperate? With the hood, grill, and skid plates off, I would guess something went bad on the engine. There doesn't look to be much adjustment left on the tracks and that means probably pins/bushings quite worn and good chance the same for the...

Sounds like the problem is your right side clutch is slipping. Might be in need of adjustment or may be too worn discs or possibly oil has leaked on it from a bad seal. gregjo1948

Maybe it's the left brake band not gripping, but the clutch is releasing. What does "slow down the dozer" mean? Is the machine movement deceasing or are the engine rpms decreasing? gregjo1948

Could it be the valve adjustment/timing? On the 318 Detroit, the galloping was caused, I believe, by improper rack adjustment. gregjo1948
