Re: New - Just bought a JD 430

i have jd440ic and i do have an inline filter on mine, these old machines just don't have the room to put filter n a 'good' place, mine works great keeping the loose rust out of the carb, have had it on now for a couple or3 years and 'do not have' a fuel flow problem. it is the cheapest and smallest...

Re: 1959 440 ICD - How to get it running?

first thing you need to do..is add your location to your profile..someone may be close by to help. will probably need to drain and clean the fuel tank unless the tank is near full there will be loose rust and other stuff in it. will need to find out what size battery whether 6volt or 12 volt. if 6 v...

re..floating axle..

Well Stan,
thanks for that info!! Just checked and my sons f250 heavy duty does have the full floating axle, so that is a relief and will be using it to get that down the road. Thanks to all for feedback

Re: 440i question

Not sure of interchangeability of reverser from 440ic loader reverser to your wheeled, i do have a donor one on hand that seems to function if you would want to test it, i know it snaps very well, just don't know what the clutches are like in it. Have been saving it to use on my jd440ic, cause mine ...

Re: 440i question

That would indicate reverser rebuild...front half worn, though you mite try adjusting the front clutch..also check fluid level see if low.. Though you state put reverser in reverse and put in reverse(tranny???) ..reverse an reverse would be forward movement..what does it do in forward gear in tranny...

Re: 440IC with 602 Blade and Winch

Bent, There were a lot of pics lost from that site once they started charging for use of their site....way too many of them....thats why we got the "dedicated pic server" set up for the crawler site.....you need to email Lavoy to advise him your chosen login and password for the pic server and read ...

Re: 440IC with 602 Blade and Winch

Bent, pics are not really too big to load..they do take up your page though...i cannot seem to find where you uploaded them in the "dedicated pic server" if not there how are you loading them? Pic server formula needs that /normal/ typed in the code to keep it a bit smaller..actually is a way to hav...

Re: 440IC with 602 Blade and Winch

for your picture size, read all info in the "Question & Answer forum" at the bottom of the board index page....in there you will find that the hyperlink for the picture in the "dedicated pic server", needs to have the word normal with the exact placement as shown. this makes the pics a bit smaller. ...

Re: 420c 5 roller undercarriage specifications

my jd440ic steering brake kinda acted like that, just afterihad adjusted them, went back and re-adjusted and have been fine since. actually bogged down the engine, though track did not lock up like yours. they seem kinda finicky and want adjusted exactly in order as per book
