How do you prevent loosing the ball bearing under the fitting. There is a grease blender besides the grease fitting to release idler tension as you stated. Is the bearing unde there or the grease fitting ?

There is no significant undercarriage wear. It’s actually in great shape. How do I find the master link and what do I do if it’s under the machine ? What a nightmare

I have a straight JD 450 loader. On my property, my right hand track came off the front idler. What is my best option to get it back on ? Should I remove a pad and look to break the chain ? How do i seperate the chain ? I believe some tracks have a pin that can be removed ? Is it only one master pin...

I found some 2-wire locally and they are only 3,100 PSI. Will that be ok ?

Price wise, no one can touch Rural King battery prices if you have one near you. They sell a 1100 cranking amp battery for $125. I just priced them last week. Most places want $200 for a battery of that cranking amps. I only have one 1100 cranking amp battery and I manage with no problems on my 450....

Can someone help me identify year 450

I believe Ijust purchased a 65 - 70 straight 450. Can someone help me identify the exact year. It’s serial number on the dash tag is only 3 numbers and they are 297 with a model number of 7450.

Yes Jim, that’s what I found at Rural king except it’s in a yellow 5 gallon bucket. Same brand, says sae 20 hydraulic oil. Thank you for your informative insight. I will follow your suggestion.
