440ICD trans help,2nd gear finally started into it thinking it was bearings. With closer look and thinking i probably should be thinking about replacing the 2nd gears too. The best thing about my Kabota is the 1000 spd PTO..Always wanted to invent a step up converter for it.Things like my PTO generator and saw rig and backhoe run at 1200 engine RPMs instead of 2400 that would be needed with the 540 . I do know there are some attachments set up for the 540.. have used ...

I agree with Ken.If a dry clutch system is working good and taken care of and not abandoned for months outside, with regular exercise they are a good system. I have a buddy that has had a 430C since the 70s and keeps it dry and doesnt use it much and has never had the finals off. Keeping the clutche...

When the head is off look all around for a small crack in the head or top of block too... its rare and usually the gasket but sometimes a crack will get you and they can be hard to see....especially look where ever a water jacket is close to the combustion chamber.They are easier to see after everyt...

Welcome to the fun and endless spending of crawlers..if you are a novice you might want to find a friend that knows about undercarriages and can help you.Look for cracks and welds and probably stay up all night reading all the great posts about the 350s..All in all they are enjoyable and good luck, ...

Mine is about 45 cold and drops to 35 warm but doesnt change with different
RPMs either.. I am still smiling it started yesterday at about 37 degrees without either.The one i had 30 years ago needed a sniff anytime you started it that it wasnt hot.
