I found a couple vendors, Lavoy, but haven't ordered yet. Most have the edges in 5/8" thickness, or different hole patterns. Mine appears to be worn down by 3/4" which would explain the problems with cutting into the ground. I think having two cylinders for the blade when the #61 blade only has one ...

Driveway project with a 40C
I'd been planning on adding a shop extension and decided to widen the proposed gravel pad to make a spot for our RV. A few pictures of the progress: The area before digging started (taken a few months ago): http://images.ttyr2.com/albums/Recreational%20Vehicles/alpenlite_dl.jpg Just starting to cut ...

The holes aren't punched in the middle of the cutting blade, so it can't be flipped over.

DE116206 is the item that will fit my dozer. Haven't heard about shipping yet.

Heh, Lavoy. About the grounding through hydraulic system, I had something similar happen in my old Datsun Roadster. The guy that helped me drop the engine back in didn't hook up the engine-to-frame ground, and I noticed one of the regulator wires started smoking while cranking the engine. Somehow, t...

WTB JD #61 blade for 40C
I currently have a #76 blade on my 40C and it's overkill for this size tractor. I would be interested in trading it for a #61 blade that is in decent condition, or for possible purchase. Prefer a blade in the OR, WA, ID region.

Having trouble cutting in to hard ground
My 40C has a JD 76 blade on it. With the crawler on level ground and the blade all the way down, the front of the blade is almost perfectly vertical, from the cutting edge to the top of the blade. Is this normal, or should it be rolled back more? The problem is the dozer just won't cut into hard gro...

Change to image hosting options
After the home page was defaced by someone with nothing better to do, the image hosting that had been provided by the JDcrawlers site has been shut down. The existing pictures will stay indefinitely, but uploads are no longer allowed. Free services like PhotoBucket allow you to store pictures online...
