I have a #76 on my 40C (four roller undercarriage) and notice the weight a fair bit when I lift the blade.

What a coincidence. I had the same problem with picking up a piece of metal in a cylinder on my 40C. Pictures halfway down the page:

Some of the older non-inverter machines also idle at 80A or so, drawing tremendous power when not actually doing any work. The newer inverter machines are MUCH more efficient.

This forum has been created for support on newer generation JD crawlers, specifically 350's and newer. Please post any JD2010 and older questions in the early model forum.

Using impact sockets? Or regular hand tool sockets? Impact sockets are MUCH stronger.

I run NGK's from NAPA in everything.

We had a nice snow a couple years ago and it was fun plowing the roads and such. Thankfully my 40C is light enough that the grousers didn't even scratch the asphalt

Looks like it was probably adapted from a wheel tractor. You can see what looks like the mount for a single bucket tilt cylinder on the boom crossbar.

I supposed having the rollers built up with submerged arc and then turned back to OEM dimensions would be prohibitivly expensive?
