Some of the older non-inverter machines also idle at 80A or so, drawing tremendous power when not actually doing any work. The newer inverter machines are MUCH more efficient.

We had a nice snow a couple years ago and it was fun plowing the roads and such. Thankfully my 40C is light enough that the grousers didn't even scratch the asphalt :-)

Looks like it was probably adapted from a wheel tractor. You can see what looks like the mount for a single bucket tilt cylinder on the boom crossbar.
