Five feet may be too much of a good thing. Winter for me is some down time. Spend more time with the wife, yes after twentyfive years I still enjoy her company. We ski alot if snow conditions allow, no snowmobiles, I spend enough time around machinery need to get away from it. I have a real shop to ...

Rudolph reexamined
As Christmas decends on us in a mountain of toxic plastic Chinese crap and bad country music Christmas albums, let us ponder a moment the lesson from our Christmas stories. In particular Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. What is the story really about? Rudolph, as we know had a very shiney nose, in fac...

If I had the patience to figure out the photo posting I would put up a photo. This thing actually is a 3 piont hitch implement. Anyhow I think I'm on the right track useing the ripper on the crawler to loosen things up first. I have a boxblade, it is to light even with cement blocks. Agree with Stan...

My two cents, for what that's worth. Replace those points with a Petronix ignition module.. This has been dicussed on this forum before and some guys are dead set against it. My self I have replaced the points on my 1010, a Oliver 770 and the farm truck and have never had a problem with any of them....

Stay away from the outfits that offer to do your site for free. The catch is you have to have them host it and they charge a arm and leg for it.\, and sites tend to be to slick for my taste. Doesn't have to cost a lot. I found a local company that did the site for $165 U.S. and hosts it for $9 a mon...

Willyr, you make good point about lack of logging photos. The good logging photos all seem to have former employees in them and I don't want to put photos of people on the site without permission. this winter we are logging some of our own property so we can remedy that.. Couple guys from Maine have...

If this comment is breaking the rules I apologize in advance. The thing that realy enrages me is that the greedheads who caused this mess got bailed out, they didn't suffer a thing. I like to think I'm like most working people, I'm not out to get rich, jsut want to make a decent living and do it hon...

Turns out business has been so godawful I really didn't need to hire anybody this year. Lot of drilling in the area, but I don't have big enough equipment to do oil field work. I do mostly residentail digging and logging and sawmilling. T he logging and lumber business is in the cellar. Most of the ...

Ken, your points are well taken, info that should definitley be added. The slabs from the mill we sell for firewood. The logging tops get left in the woods. Some may think that is wasteful but there are reaasons. Most of the minerals and nutrients are in the tops so leaving them to rot down is a way...

You're lucky Digitup, don't think my boy will be back,he is doing very well, drilling water wells. And I wish him well. I know a lady who is head or human resources for a local company. One of the best places around to work, good pay benies etc, she says even they can't find qualified people. I used...
