The model 62 blade that was factory installed on many 420's could have depth shoes bolted on to control digging up the ground when plowing snow.

The anchor blocks for the tension rods have a third bolt hole cast in them, but never used. Were the side frames supposed to be drilled for an extra bolt? The whole point of honing is to cause oil to stick to the walls, improving lubrication and ring seal. If you are getting bad results after honing, maybe you should let a machine shop do it.
