that is what I thought, the previous owner told me it was 1-2-4 R-3-5 it just did not seem right, I see alot of shift knobs for sale on ebay and the shift patterns were not the same. Makes sense. thanks. 2-1-4 R-5-3 is this correct then? seems weird.

I have a 5 speed trans in my 60 440 crawler, the seller told me the shift pattern but I don't think he was correct, what is the correct shift pattern, I see several knobs with different patterns, reverse I know but the rest not so sure, is first the opposite of reverse or is first in the center?

my engine was over full of oil and need to know what is the correct amount of oil for a jd 420 crawler engine, gas engine, oil capacity with or without the filter.
