well the real issue here is money? trying to save money with a smaller more fuel efficient engine usually doesnt equate... your going to use more fuel when running heavy. so if you run light most of the time, you can benefit from the small, new motor/ new truck. but then your going to pay mmmmaybe 4...

might try and get the frozen links onto the top side so they are hanging and can bounce, PbBlaster them everyday, and wack on the pad, downward, maybe fit a hunk of wood between track frame and adjacent link.

get 2 cans of PbBlaster penetrant and squirt it on everything, even stuff your not working on, for preservation and future ease.

i dont know the machine, but you have described to me what seems to be a flow problem,, or overflow. you might try adding a restrictor to that control valve(s) only.,, active on cyl. return only. maybe your oil is thick, probably not but maybe the filter is plugging. or wrong filter?? might already ...
