Re: 350 Track/front idler adjustment
Thanks Lavoy, I was reading a post from 2009 where you were giving instructions on how to do this on a 440. I made the assumption I will do it in the same manner. Great site by the way!

Re: 350 Track/front idler adjustment
Thanks Jim, I replaced the seals on my hydraulic adjusters and there was only 1 shim on each side of the tube. Extremely rusted, almost right through. Reading previous posts I assume there are supposed to be numerous shims stacked on each side. The center flange on my front idlers are worn on the ou...

350 Track/front idler adjustment
Can anybody tell me a part number for the track/front idler adjustment shims installed between the idler bracket and hydraulic track adjuster tube on a straight 350. I think it might be T10022 listed as a "strap", but i want to be sure. Thanks.

Re: New Owner, in desperate need of guidance!
Yes you will fill the reverser and tranny both through their dipstick holes. The reverser also has a filter in it. You may want to change that if you are unsure when it was changed last. My 350 doesn't have a tranny filter but I don't know about the 350B. As far as the hydraulic level, you may be ab...

Re: New Owner, in desperate need of guidance!
Though I am a novice also I am a fairly recent owner of a straight 350, I can answer 2 of your questions. Yes that is the reverser dip stick and fill neck at your right foot below the air cleaner. It should not be dry and I suspect this may be your issue. The reservoir in the box under your right ar...

Straight 350 brake.
I bought a 350 straight to clear a lot and cut in a driveway for a house. I'm glad I found this site and think it's great that everyone is so very helpful to us novices. I am going through it and performing maintenance items. I adjusted the steering clutches and brake pedal linkages as the the manua...

Re: Removing skid plate and belly pan changing reverser filter
When I pulled the belly pan on my 350 I made a cradle in the shape of a capitol letter i with 2×4's and bolted it to a floor jack to lower the pan off and raise it back on. Worked great.

Oil pump removal
I have read this forum as I was looking to buy a dozer. I ended up with a 350 straight to clear a small lot for a house and driveway. My question however has to do with a Deere 410 backhoe I am doing an in frame rebuild on. It has the 4219 engine which I beleive is common to Deere dozers also. So I ...
