Re: JD 350 track loader

Hello anid4me1, The SN info for the JD crawlers is in the FAQ section. Thank you to Stan. Here is the link to the 350’s. Look about response #13. http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2410 I believe a portion of the same info is near the front of the owner’s manual. Best regards...

Re: How to remove the hydraulic hose on the boom cylinder on a 450c loader?

If the o ring end is leaking and you can’t stop it or get it tight enough, the steel lines will need to come out. I was unable to find a mechanism that would reach and tighten those connections. My main problem with my hose replacement was that I could loosen the connection we are discussing. So I h...

Re: How to remove the hydraulic hose on the boom cylinder on a 450c loader?

Hello fullsizejohn, If you are working on the boom cylinder hoses, you will not need to remove the steel pipes. Just support the large boom cylinder with a ratchet strap, pull the rear pin, move the cylinder forward and the boom cylinder hoses are now available. Just for clarification, you are not w...

Re: 40c Project

Your studs are already in place. They are the upper and lower studs at the rear side of the frame rail, that attaches to the final drives. All you need is to remove your flat nut and lock washer and put in the special tapered nuts on the upper and lower (on both left and right frame rails). Hope thi...

Re: 40c Project

I believe Lavoy is referring to your use of flat nuts. I think he wants you to replace the flat nuts with a tapered nut to prevent movement in that area. I don’t see any damage in your photos, yet.

Re: New purchase JD350c

I did wonder if the hoses were gone or tucked up. Could have been removed?? Or the bracket could have been used for a non-hydraulic tool, not sure what it may have been.

Re: New purchase JD350c

Nice machine. I believe the red and dark blue are ROPS mounts. And the light blue are brackets for a backhoe.

Re: 350 winch

I would not let that old iron go down. You have all the “hard-to-find stuff”. The seals, bearings are common to other equipment. Gaskets can be cut. You have the brake covered. Clutch disc are available. Definitely, go for it. It won’t be the cheapest part of your crawler, but it will be nice.

Re: 420C and a flail mower?

We don’t run the center link on rotary cutters. I have seen some others run a chain in place of the center link. I have witnessed lots of twisted/broken stuff b/c of binding,

Re: 450? Or 450b?

SN on engine doesn’t correspond to SN of crawler. They are mutually exclusive. And as far as I know, no one has or knows the significance of the engine SN’s (regarding year of manufacturing).
