Ok, looked at your pictures more closely and it appears that someone added the shift quadrant?
So very well could be the 40 transmission.

The shift leaver quadrant is from a 420 or 430. The 40 doesn't have one.

Looks like you have a pretty decent crawler there, that blade looks new.
The transmission must be out of a 420.

440 hood

Just saw a two piece hood for a 440 on eBay, I've seen one before and thought someone had cut it. Was this an option? And why?

Ok, I will keep it positive ground.
I see that Stiner list a Voltage regulator conversion for the MC but if all I need to do is monitor the Amp gauge and switch between high and low output occasionally I'd rather keep it original.

Does positive or negative ground make a difference as long as it's polarized?
I will be wireing my MC in a couple weeks, looks like I will need the right ignition switch also.
