Thanks Tim, Yes I think as long as they are kept painted and essentially sealed, they should last a good while. I would almost consider a 3/32 or 1/8 thick sheet of neoprene under the battery. Ha ha, a man of great wisdom! I have been cleaning the living heck out of my shop the last three days. I have a pretty big box of parts both new and used from this build. I bet that box is worth a lot of money.
