Jim would you recommend a jd20-c or jd20-d or equivalent in my transmission low viscosity or reg hygard - what’s better for the colder temps. Our temp here are +30c in the summer -40c winter average -15-20c thinking I will use my machine for plowing this winter .

What is the benefit of a common sump for these machines? Does it make it any better how exactly does it work ? Thank Jim

I know where the drain an fill plugs are ,for the final drives . Not sure on the steering clutches ? There is two plugs up high on the body of machine one each side bigger plugs than the finals are they inspection or fill for the steering clutches , if so where’s drains for steering clutches. 1975 450C drained and changed tank filter for hydraulics, filter was plugged pretty good. Fresh fluid hydraulics seem faster and smoother. Yes I noticed in the parts lookup shows a plate and a cork gasket for some listings mine has neither . Is the clutch pedal serve two functions push it in a inch or so an it disengages power when in gear. Then push it in harder and it’s mechanical for shifting through gears ? Seems I could push it further if I wanted too but with resistance.

Thank u for the pics I have two solid fan blades winter puller blade was on it I put the pusher one on it but looks like I might have it wrong orientation looking at your picture looked good until I started machine and noticed the prick spins counter clockwise lol I wouldn’t have thought motor spun ...
