I have'nt been able to get back to the MC since my wife had a baby on the 7th. When thinking up names I tossed the name Lavoy in but she rejected it. :lol: So now I'm spending all my time indoors. But I still have the MC fever but its only when the little guy is napping.And its all of 26 degrees out...

I just put my new clutch's on the right side and adjusted them up real nice. Then took her out for a test spin and noticed it didnt turn so good to the right. Well come to find out the steering pin and linkage has been "repaired" and not very well.And still had too much play so I was loosing the thr...

Stan I like the way you think! I have an old picture (somewhere) of when my father just had it painted and it does look sharp.

I may just throw tradition to the wind and go with yellow. I have till summer to decide. Thanks for your input. You should get some pics of that poor little m-420 :lol:

Your right!! I just have to convince my wife of that. I did talk her into getting the steering clutch's and pressure plate I need,for christmas(from you of course)

Alright 2 votes green. 0 yellow. I was thinking of going with yellow just for something different. And my father had it painted that color. And it doesnt look too bad either. It used to be green but my father had it painted yellow. Now that im restoring it to working and a little bit of show cond. Im not sure if I want to go with green or yellow. After the pics were taken I pressure washed it and the green monster below started to show up. Either way it has to be painted...

Hey all. Over the thanksgiving weekend I had plenty of time to get caught up on my mc project. I flushed the engine with kerosene. I used 1 gallon of kero. and just filled and drained it. I did the same thing again and cranked the engine over about a dozen revolutions or so. Then I drained the oil f...

You got it. I just called my local JD dealer and the only part he didnt have was the plate at the bottom. And they are not avalable anymore.

I can find some thing to replace it in my extensive junk collection. Or just make new one. Thanks again Lavoy!

I think I will just change the oil at short intervals.Since its not really sludgy just really black. It had some sludge in the filter housing at the drain plug. But not alot. In the parts book it showed a couple gaskets and spring in there. I will have to check it out more Thanks for your advise--mi...
