Hey, I never got an invitation, what gives!?!?!?!? Your final drive bearings are out, don't use the crawler further, you will damage more stuff. You will need to remove the final drive and take it apart to see how much stuff is damaged. As long as you have it off, be sure to check everything else th...

There will be a difference in the level from down to up. The ram side of the cylinder has much smaller displacement than the non ram side, so as the arms go up, the oil level goes down. That is why you check the oil level with the bbucket down, otherwise it would overflow the reservoir when you let ...

That's it, you just hit it. When the engine runs backwards, the blower is drawing air in through the exhaust, through the exhaust valves, through the cylinder, and out through the intake ports in the sleeves. In the back of my mind, I know there was a way to do it, but could not come up with it. Man...

As long as you have it apart, take the blower to a local Detroit shop and make sure it has the updated blower seals in it. If a blower seal lets go and draws oil in the blower, the engine will run wild, and there is no way to kill a 2-53 other than to stick your hand over the air cleaner, and that w...

I believe that you could get a Detroit in either rotation for the reasons stated, but I am not sure they will run backwards. A Detroit can not run without a blower, and I don't think the blower will produce boost with the engine rotating backwards. That is not to say they won't, but I am trying to f...

Now that I think of it more, I think I said it wrong. There might be a wire from the switch to the coil, but I am thinking that somehow it should be fed from the ign side of the solenoid. The theory being, on a GM style solenoid, when the starter is engaged, the contacts inside feed full 12 volts to...
