I like this post Idea willy, keeping to the post topic of upgrades, thinking outside the box and improving on the product not just reading the jd book. and not maintenance you should be doing anyway but new Ideas. About 12yrs ago I got real sick and tired of struggling with jd's idea of a parking br...

350 winch

Hi, Do everything scotty said, that's the first step, I have a lot of experience with jd winches. 1st check pto by taking out the oil filler plug on right side of winch,if big ring gear is turning when you start the dozer pto is fine. 2nd jd is notorious for getting water in the winch oil which you ...

Hi Bob, I see you are from southern VT and I am from Northern Vt, so I thought it would be neighborly to respond. I think no one has responded because it is just to much of a loaded question. the dozer is always worth it when it runs and always a pain when it doesn't. Too hard to predict what might ...

I agree Scottyb, except I bought this on craigslist and previous owner said he took it in trade and didn't know what it was on. I have finally received all the seals and parts I needed to rebuild this winch.. It is near the end of the production run of #3325 as it has all the newer style updates in ...

thanks Scotty. I have all the serial numbers for all 350 and 450 machines, but the Machine serial number doesn't correspond to the winch. I know this is a much newer winch near the end of the run before the G-models went to the 4000 series winches. Just curious I guess. when did they quit making the...

350 tranny leaking

Hi I think you called me yesterday but I had poor reception, when you look at the reverser with motor out there is a seal on the reverser input shaft. You can see the seal before you pull the cover. pull the 4 bolts on the small cover ""which is the the reverser pump"" remove and you can replace the...

Matt, I would bet pretty good money the problem will be in the manifold inside your tranny on top when you pull the top cover off. this manifold directs the oil to the range you select with the HLR shifter.your pumps ok because you are developing 175psi then when you shift to reverse the pressure dr...

Just a thought but by any chance does your 450B have the optional power steering ?? if so look for leaks at the boost cylinders and lines going to them. they sit on top of tranny case and could be leaking down, Also of course check fluid level in tranny to be sure it is the tranny leaking as it woul...
