Re: 450 PTO control/engagement lever - where is it?

A picture may be worth a thousand words. You can ask Lavoy for permission to post pics on this sites dedicated picture server. Details are under the Messageboard Q&A and announcement section. Have you check the physical connection between the crawler and the winch. It is hard telling what the PO has...

Re: Needing a new air compressor

I have really liked Eaton(now Quincy). Low RPM pumps with good CFM. Most with 100% duty cycles. Also like Ingersoll Rands.

Re: Replacing cylinder liners cracked block

Engine is a 300 series Deere. I believe it is a 4219. Lots of other apps. But they are getting older and more difficult to find.

Re: Replacing cylinder liners cracked block

Immediately after you installed the sleeves, did you use large washers and bolts threaded into the block to hold the sleeves down into the block? The orings will swell and lift the sleeves, if left unsecured. You would think torquing the head down would be enough to push these back down, but all tha...

450C with 75 loader hydraulic hoses

I recently blew out a hose on the boom cylinder on the 75 loader. I replaced all 12 hoses as they appeared original with similar cycles/time and wear. This project has been well over due, outer covers have been cracked and peeling off for a great while(I have owned this machine for 16 yrs). I though...

Anyone ever hear or see a German track type tractor here in the US. Kind of odd?

Re: Truck shopping, a shock to the system.

It is amazing what the previous generations could get done with a limited slip rear end, good chains and some weight over the rear end. Dad never owned a 4x4 and rarely had bad trouble. Only the rich owned 4x4’s back in the day in rural Iowa. But entitlement sets in, society gets in a big hurry, com...

Re: Truck shopping, a shock to the system.

I’m with you, I cannot believe how expensive vehicles are today. I think the prices you mention are standard for current times. Heck, I have heard you can now spend 6 figures on a top-end new truck. Lots of leases. 84 and 96 month loans to get the payment per month reasonable. Lease with low yearly ...

Re: 3325 winch

Yes, the winches are super $$$$. My spool valve was cheap, just orings. But my pump was shoot, run dry by the previous owner. Supposedly it was a Webster pump that was commonly used and inexpensive. None that I could find. My local Deere located one one the dealer web. Tore the he** out of a $1,000 ...

If you have a pressure gauge and fittings you may try isolating components to help life localize your problem. Best regards, Bruce

Re: 3325 winch

I believe the pressure test port is under the left side of the winch. There should be two 1/4 pipe plugs. The one to the left (outside) is a drain for the left case. The plug closer to the inside is the test port for the clutch. I risk sounding remedial , but you have the right amount of oil? Pickup...

Re: 3325 winch

Are you certain this is a spool valve? When I re-did my spool, I didn't remember any brass seats. Could you have a rotary valve?? How many hydraulic hoses are used to attach the valve to the winch? I have recently rebuilt a 3325. Stripped to the bare bone. Right and left quills out, winch spool and ...
