Huh.....that is odd as hell, prob. pull the side shrouds and the belly pan to see what caused it so it doesn't end up costing you money for a possible easy fix.

I watched for that exact thing with regards to oil consumption using synthetic as I have seen vehicles switch to syn. and use a ton of oil...switch back and consumption drops back to normal. so fare this has worked just fine with Amsoil 15-40 full syn. all the other oils I just use JD hyguard.

Well I put the new pump on, new filter and oil, also took a good look at the oil I removed with a high intensity light to see if there was any glimmer or flake in the oil and it was perfect...not so much as a spec. even went as far as to get a sample from the filter itself....all is well. oil pressu...

I figure when I put the pump on and service it, I will also take a sample of the oil and put it on a white paper to see if there are any fillings in it. just serviced it 20 hrs ago with Amsoil full syn. and a gold series filter.....who on here says there is "no such thing as a cheap crawler"....

Question for 350c eng. techs

Well I have been running my 350c a lot this summer and this weekend I noticed the oil pressure was way lower than normal (just in the green by a little). I shut it down to see what was up and the oil was over full buy a mile and very thin. I pulled the fuel pump and the diaphragm was leaking fuel pa...

standard HYGUARD oil, or your premium hyd. oil should do...this will work in all locations except the engine(obviously). trans/hyd./reverser all take the same oil. Get yourself a service manual , adj. everything to spec. and you will have a good machine there....good luck!

I can't think of anything that would leak only after running it, short of the flywheel slinging the oil around inside the bell housing and then after shutdown - allowing it to run out of the weep hole in the base of the housing. pull the reverser base plug and get a fluid sample. if further diag. is...

Well between my father and I we have put about 40hrs on the machine and what a little sweetheart these 350's are, my father has done quite a bit of long overdue ditching to dry up several wet areas in the fields, pushed back hedgerows and some general trail maint. after all that work had one fitting...

I found that on mine it would show over full, I would drive it a couple hundred feet and it would not touch the stick...kept filling and repeating this until finally it stayed full. definitely check it multiple times after running it.

I just pressed the master pin out on my 350c track with a snap-on ball joint press and a touch of heat(don't know if I needed heat just did it) and she walked right out and back in(without heat)....If you have a ball joint press can't hurt to try it. my father made the tool the shop manual recommend...

Hmmm....quite the riddle you have here, so many things it can be. I have it in my mind that your splines have worn through on the forward spider of the reverser(just my guess). will be curious what you find and please keep us posted and good hunting!!
