hi dave, well i think you want the preload to keep things from getting too sproingy,, so then if you do that, it would just make the idler travel abit more cause of the less force it would take to make it move,,,, say for instance your going to back up a hill, your sproingy front idler will be under...

ya i was just getting ready to go get a gallon for ~80 bucks, local dealer only has 7 left, the other dealer said it was discontinued,,, anybody hearing that from their dealers? the pre-92 industrial deere yellow.

DOT a problem?

just went thru 8 states with a load and had no DOT problems, some days are diamond, some days are coal, blew every scale i saw... ya,maybe i was pushing my luck, but i saw alot of others that looked over the limit and they seemed to be running,,, so , i don't know what to think now....

DOT scales giving anyone problems ?

i am curious as to the guys with heavier crawlers such as 440icd's or 350's and 1010/2010 ,
are you getting thru the state scales without problems?
i have a heavy 1 ton pickup and a steel bedded tandem axle trailer which adds to the weight problem considerably
