2010 Diesel Starter

dlplost

The part # I quoted was db-starter's part #. It was a Delco starter. I ran into the same problem as you did when looking for Delco starters. All were 9 or 11 tooth.

Db-starter said their starter would fit. It did. I probably did count the teeth, but I don't recall the results.

2010 Starter

I purchased a new starter for my 2010 last year from:
www.db-starter-alternator.com
part # is 410-12241.The cost was 249.00 plus 20.00 shipping.
The diesel starter is larger (longer) than the gas.

066 Stihl

Digitup, I put a new chain on that old Stihl just for this special tree. With that 36" bar sunk all the way in, it just dropped through the tree like it was cutting butter. Hardly made the saw grunt. It does like to be refueled though. As the old race car saying goes, "there is no cure for cubic inc...

Thanks for the comments guys, Yeah, I wish I had an arch. That butt cut was a bear to pull. I missed out on one about 15 years ago. $100. It was gone before I heard about it. As far as cutting it up for lumber; I work (now very part time) in a sawmill. The employee price for a sling load of kiln dri...

ATF in the diesel

On the recommendation of an old "grandpa", I've been putting a quart of ATF in each 55 gallon drum of diesel I buy.

Should I be putting 2-stroke oil in the drum instead?

Billions for the rich, nary a penny for the middle class.

The problem, as distasteful as it may be, is that we can't let the banks and the Detroit 3 fail. No matter how much they deserve it. The consensus of most economists is that to ignore the problem would create a situation not seen since the Great Depression. 25% unemployment, %25 under- employment, a...

Don't bail anyone out. Don't create jobs. Don't give government backed loans!
It worked just GREAT from '29 to '33 for Herbert Hoover.
It might give some people great pleasure to spite their faces, but they're still cutting off their nose.

2010 Crawler

Well hi Brian, I think the 2010 is a fine crawler. Some think the engine is a weak point, but I've had no trouble with mine after a rebuild in 1980. If the one you are looking at is a '65 (serial #/date of manufacture are posted elsewhere on this forum--a '65 would have a serial number above 55,000 ...

201--No Hydraulic pressure

10/25 Update I pulled the pump back off and opened it up. No keys sheared, no bad teeth, and all the clearances were tight. I double checked the power shaft out of the transmission and couldn't identify any problems there. Using a chunk of garden hose and a clamp, I managed to get some air pressure ...

2010--No Hydraulic pressure

Just an update: Before I pulled the pump, I flushed the transmission with 5 gallons of diesel. I ran the engine at idle with the pump outlet hose disconnected. Diesel was pushed out and made a mess (I didn't have the fittings to run it into a bucket). It came out kind of splashy and not under much p...

Wanted* Diesel injection pump for 2010

Even if the used one is really, really cheap and the guy says it was running great when they parked it 3 years ago?

Just kidding. I'll hit up a diesel mechanic and see if I can find a local shop.

Thanks,
Brian

Wanted* Diesel injection pump for 2010

Hi Guys,
Looking for a good used injection pump for my neighbor's 2010 bucket loader. His seems to be leaking into the oil pan. I told him I'd check around.
*I'm not sure he'll buy one.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a re-builder?
Thanks,
Brian

2010--No Hydraulic pressure

I drained the transmission, the oil was a light shade of chocolate brown. The steel mesh filter had a minor amount of debris stuck to the outside. When I pulled the paper filter I found the bottom 1/2" blown out all the way around. I suspect the missing paper to be problem with the hydraulic pump. I...
