Winch for 40c
What make and model of winch should I look for that will fit my 40c? Is the Gearmatic 8g the only one that will fit or do all pto winches have the same attachment method?

Yes. You might have to reverse your sprockets and move track carrier and safety blocks outward to the proper track width. Yeah, I figured that would be the case with the fingers. I took the carrier to a welder to build up the lugs. I'll check out the number when I get it back. Should the bearing be all the way down on the carrier? There is a lot of wear on the round part of the carrier as if a bearing was turning on it...

OK. I checked it out today. Pilot bearing is ok, clutch disc is not warped and clutch rod looks straight. What I did find is that the lugs on the sides of the carrier are worn down about 3/16". I will get them built up but is that enough to cause my problem? Also, I see in the parts book that there ...
