Re: 6 wy blade rebuild

I got two pictures up loaded which took a while even with the camera at a low resolution. My internet is through my phone. That doesn't quite match the cable speed I had in Washington. There's not much available to me where I am now. Lets see if it works. [http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/...

6 wy blade rebuild

After following instructions from Lavoy for chaining the blade up, I backed the trailer up to the concrete pad and used a come-a-long to pull on the trailer's side rail and the track chain. That got it halfway off. The S10 was used as an anchor point for the remainder of unloading task. I haven't re...

Re: I bought a 1010C dozer

The differential compression tester isn't rocker science, just a diagnostic tool I've used for years on aircraft. It is easy to use and doesn't require using the starter so the electrical system isn't needed. I don't have to redo the battery cables to do the test. At this time, I don't even know if ...

Re: i bought a 1010C loader

I have a lot to learn. I'm glad I have you people as a resource. I'm going to be looking at the references I thought I knew something from and find where I went wrong. I didn't know there was a swivel seat for the 1010C. I haven't seen pictures of a backhoe installation but have for a boom and for t...

Re: I bought a 1010C dozer

Compression test with a differential compression tester is static. The piston is taken to the top of the compression stroke and 100 psi is applied into the cylinder through a calibrated orifice with a gauge on each side of the orifice. The difference in the supply gauge (100 psi) and the cylinder pr...

Re: i bought a 1010C loader

Claiming them to be backhoe mounts was based on what I was told. I've never been around a loader version to know what the counter weight mounting looks like, I could see there were no weights and commented on that. The response was that it must have had a backhoe on previously and that they were "fa...

Re: I bought a 1010C dozer

Once I get it on the concrete I shall inspect things in detail (might have done a better job before buying it but as long as there were no gaping holes in the casting and such the inspection detail wouldn't have mattered; I wanted it and wants makes all kinds of excuses for things). I saw the altern...

Re: how to chain up a dozer blade

Moving backwards cannot be done. It is on a trailer with a one foot high railing and was placed on the trailer by backing under it while two forklifts held it suspended by the tracks (I hope that didn't screw something up) and the blade is a couple inches wider than the railing and is at the rear of...

Re: how to chain up a dozer blade

The rams lift the blade by contracting so clamping the rod would not lock it in the up position.

Re: how to chain up a dozer blade

The blade mounts inside the tracks and is a 6 way.

how to chain up a dozer blade

I've prepared a place for the 1010C dozer to reside and trying to plan how to unload it. Problem one is keeping the blade up since it doesn't run. The only pace I can see chaining onto it is at the end of the lifting ram and then to the rear of the machine. How is it normally done?

i bought a 1010C loader

My second recent 1010C acquisition has the loader which the previous owner called a “high lift”. It does not have ballast weights but does have mounting brackets for a backhoe. The sprockets look good and the track pins have a bit of flats worn in. It left Dubuque as a diesel but now has a green gas...

I bought a 1010C dozer

I bought some property which the previous owner allowed several acres of thorn apple trees to take over. I don’t like repairing tires so decided to get a tracked machine for clearing operations and redoing the long driveway and I bought a 1010C with a 6 way blade and ripper. Having no experience in ...
