Re: JD 450c 4219t, Who manufactuers reputable rebuild kits?
The engine is held to the bell housing with four bolts. Really very simple to pull engine. I don’t have a sleeve puller, so I would drop the belly pan and oil pan and pull the head. This way I could use my port-a-power to push the sleeves out( using the weight of the crawler to help push the sleeves...

Re: JD 450c 4219t, Who manufactuers reputable rebuild kits?
Motor may not need to come out. This is a wet sleeve motor, you can in-frame rebuild(assuming your block is good). If you find evidence of cavitation and pin holes in the lower liners, you may be luck and have a good block.
Hope this helps,

Re: JD 450c 4219t, Who manufactuers reputable rebuild kits?
Hello Marc, I use kits made by Reliance. Local distribution for me is Endurance Power in Lincoln, NE. There use to be many more builders/ manufacturers. A&I use to be very competitive in pricing. They very putting such a hurting on the big boys, that the big boy bought them up. As you can imagine, p...

Re: 450 b steering
The lever actuates a two step process. First part is pushing a throw-out bearing into a steering clutch to release the drive power to that side. Keep pulling the level and there is a cam to engage the brake band to prevent free wheel travel on that side. Brake pedal will pull both R and L brake band...

I agree with Jim. It is a tight fit, and there is likely a lot of garbage to dig out.
Good luck

Re: Anyone familiar with throttle cable troubles ?
Excellent news. I would not have recommended them if I had not had excellent experience with Bunker Hill. I have a spare cable hanging on the shop wall!

Re: 3325 winch leaking from weep hole
Yes, we hope it something easy. I have concern about oil contamination of the brake. If you get the leak fixed the winch brake may not hold on a pull. I have read, seen and heard of lots of ways to try to rejuvenate a brake before simply replacing an oil contaminated brake band (which is the longest...

Re: 3325 winch leaking from weep hole
Hello Sir. The left side of the 3325 should be dry. The brake band is in there along with the brake hydraulic cylinder. The master clutch for the winch is inside the left case, also. Here is the online parts for the brake- https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/67823/referrer/navig...

Re: jd420 pics
I suspect it is massive corrosion from mouse urine on the trans input shaft trying to pass out of the clutch disc. Wiggle wiggle coffee break, spray, wiggle wiggle, spray lunch. Repeat .

Re: jd420 pics
I have taught that a sleeve is removable, like dry vs wet. I would use “cylinder wall” to describe your situation. Mouse and rat piss are extreme corrosive. Lots of wiggling, persuasion, several coffee breaks etc.
