Just to let you know, it was a peice of cake. I didn't get to try out any of the suggested methods even though I showed up in the Boy Scout way with a truckbed full of blocks, boards, grease, pry bars, big honking come-a-long, chains and another strong back. The fellow had a little skid-steer and pi...

Thanks for the ideas and advice. You guys are great. I'm going next weekend to get it. I'll take a varity of the things mentioned here and we'll see what happens. I got to thinking I might jack up the front and back the trailer under it up to the front idler. At least that way it is half on when I s...

Loading a dead crawler

Guys, Looking for some opinions/tips on loading a dead crawler that has one side locked up. I have pushed or come-a-longed them on my trailer before but those were free and rolling. I'm thinking I could jack it up and put a 2x8 under the locked up track and then pipes under that to get it on. Coming...

Over time, those decals will bleach out white, I guess from the sun but I've seen that many times. Not sure about the blade, can't see it all. Is that some unused brackets on the back of it?

That should make you a nice crawler.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. For the last 4 years, I have had my 40W decorated out in front for Christmas. She's ailing right now and I needed a stand-in. I was reluctant to to put out the 40C as it isn't "restored" yet. It was actually apart in the shop, so I quickly put her back together...

I just got a load moved from Iowa to North Carolina. He is out of PA and likes to run in the Central and East/Southeast areas and has a semi-trailer. I think he was very reasonable on his rate, considering the price of fuel. Charlie Shanobrook - Cell # 717-424-8148.

Crawler 3 point

I got two 3 point hitch related questions. Can you get the replacement arm ball ends for the JD crawler (420) 3-point and from who? They look to be a different shape than the ball ends you get at Tractor Supply. Method of replacement would be cutting the old one off and welding the replacement end o...
