Re: It's always something!
Thanks, just waiting on the weather to co-operate a little. Found some cooked wires to the starter so I'm going to start there. I'm also going to check the points and see if they got toasted. Gonna get a new ignition switch too! I found a lot of cut off wiring for the lights and for one sensor on th...

It's always something!
Got the 1010 CLB jacked up enough to block it so we could get under it. Took some doing but we got the belly pans off without getting squashed. Shoveled probably 6-8" of oil soaked dirt out of the rear pan and scraped off the hydraulic lines under the rig. Found that one steel line had simply rusted...

1010 loader and BH plumbing diagrams
Working on my 1010 C-L-BH. The tags on the loader and hoe are long gone. Is there a way to figure out which ones they are so I can find a diagram of the hydraulic plumbing? I have at least one broken hose down under the machine that I have to drop the pans to get to. I'd like to make sure I get the ...

Re: Track chains
Okay, I can do that. Would the 1010 be smaller?

Re: Track chains
Lavoy, looking at my drive sprockets I can see the rims appear to have been welded already. Is there a way to determine if they've been switched to 350 rings already? Couldn't find anything in a search here.

Re: Track chains
I'll try again. https://rubbertracksandattachments.com/ ... -set-of-2/ So these wouldn't be correct? A sprocket rim wouldn't be the end of the world. I assume they are probably 350 tracks?

Re: Cylinder Kits
FWIW, I got all the parts for my 420 cylinder through a Deere construction dealer. I had to get the bulldozer blade parts sheets and that was all it took. Once I had the parts fro one cylinder (for $100.00 plus!!!) I took it all to a local hyd shop and he matched up enough stuff for the 2nd cylinder.

Re: 40 Crawler Track Locked Up
Have you tried jacking the stuck track up off the ground and seeing if it is frozen stiff? I had one track do that once after it sat for a long time. Took a bit of persuasion with a sledge but they freed up. Until then the track wasn't going to move at all with engine power, much less dragging.

Re: Implements for 420C
I've plowed using a 40C and 420C. If you use a trailer type plow it's not a big deal to set the hitch so the crawler is running on the furrow edge. Most trailer type plows I've seen have more than enough adjustment to work with a crawler. We're talking 1, 2 and maybe 3 bottom plows, depending on you...

Re: About those 420 hydraulic cylinders...
Thanks Jim! My JD Ag dealer got me to my local JD industrial dealer and they can get the seal/gasket/cup kit for $116 and change each side. Seems a little steep, but it IS available. Had to track down the right catalog (62 blade) to find the hyd cyl diagram.
