KenP For some reason the last two days my brain and fingers have not been typing very well together. I go back and read my posts and think what did I just type. Been a long day and even longer week. Anyway, the pic is looking down the inspection cover. Yes there is some water way down in clutch area...

350B inspection cover pic. - UPDATE

Posted the other day that I didn't have a right brake after a loud POP. Parked it at 35-40F, when it was "froze" then popped it was 20F. Well, I think I am getting some where. Removed the inspection cover and looks like there might be some water down in there. The sponge that is on the backside of t...

brake actually

Griff,

Guess I should have said it better, or explained.

I think it is the brake that is gone, not the clutch. I took the dozer out in the field and had no problem peeling back 6 inches of dirt. So much for mid-Michigan being frozen.

I did park it when it was warmer 35f and very humid. I have it parked on plywood over concrete, so its something inside that froze up, not the tracks to the ground. Its suppose to be 40 here the next few days, so I get the track off. Then start chasing down a service manual. When I get it apart, I g...

Ken, I park it with the foot brake off, and the levers at the dash. The engine does not lug at all, lever comes all the way back. Still drives fine. Just doing all my steering with the left. The guy I bought this from gave me 5 or 6 operators manuals. But no service manual. I do have an exploded par...

350B lost right steer clutch

Looking for a little help on diagnosis. New to me dozer 350b. Newer undercarriage. Reverser. 6 way. Everything works as it should give the age. I have used it around 5 times, great power, no clutch slippage. Definitely the right size dozer I was looking for. Put it away 2-3 weeks ago (inside). Start...

Thanks for your answers Lavoy, and others in my other posts. I know old cars and tractors, but tracks are new to me. I have been in contact with the seller. He has sent me quite a few more pictures that I have asked for. As I start to ask more and more detailed questions, the answers become a little...

1010 questions again.

Evening all, The seller added more pictures from the 1010 I am looking at on ebay. To me the sprockets don't look too bad, but it looks like the tracks are ran right out the the end of their adjustment. Also I talked to the seller. It hasn't ran since spring 2008. No reverser. Steering worked fine w...

Another JD1010 on ebay.

Any of you that are knowledgeable on 1010s want to give me an idea of where to bid on this 1010? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290347401338&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT or # 290347401338 According to the owner the head is shot, but who knows could be the block too. I am checking wit...

I've been away from the forum for a while. I looked at this crawler the day they put it out. They were originally asking $3250 around July 1 I believe. They have really come down in price. This is on M-59 by Milford right?? Lavoy, this is the one I asked how hard it would be to convert to a dozer bl...

Thanks Lavoy,

I didn't know the hydraulics had to go to. I am not in a hurry so I have plenty of time to shop around.

Thanks again.

1010 loader vs. dozer question

Morning. I have found a somewhat decent gas 1010 loader/rops and winch, but I am looking for the dozer blade. Is this too much to tackle tearing off the loader and rops, then hunting down a dozer blade? Or should I keep looking until I find a dozer setup? I am not real familar with the differences b...
