Re: Kicking You While Your Down
What a terrible story. I'm late 50's and was taught that a man's word is his worth. If your word is no good then you're worthless as a man. Has served me well in life. But it seems that last decade or two more and more people are only out for the money and could care less about lying, cheating, and st...

Re: reverser oil flow question
Joe, I have the same problem with my JD450B and been testing it all day today, pressure is at 150 PSI but no reverse, good in high, low forward. I pulled the engine to get into the transmission and stopped for today to see if I could find out how to take this transmission apart. It is new water for...

Re: reverser oil flow question
When I got home from work last night I decided to try back flush the system as Amos suggested. I removed the bolt from the needle valve hole and hooked the air hose to the pressure check point. I left the needle valve access plug out of the case and put a screen wire strainer, from my wife’s kitche...

Re: Back from auction
Blade: looks to be early model King Kutter brand: 1980's maybe?. Found a very similar design on a farm equipment site. $1295.00 + freight new. Looks like I got a deal and now wife wants it painted.....

Re: Major incident at work today!
Woke up this morning and BP is still in stratosphere. Knees throbbing(worked garden yesterday to relieve stress. Garden looking pretty good btw) and today is my b-day. All things pass and maybe I'll get some good deals at the auction tomorrow. Back to the garden(at the factory site): seeing some blo...

Re: JD 350
Sounds like adjustment or rust. Pull back on right steer lever then release a few dozen times and if it goes away it was rust. If it doesn't then re-do adjustment procedure.

Re: Backhoe weight
Hi Terry, Maybe not: when I load heavy I position the load to give max allowable hitch weight: be it bumper or gooseneck ball. If gooseneck I can legally pick up another 4000 pounds. I'm running a Ram 3500 with drivetrain and suspension set up for max trailer weight of 29,000 pounds. My heaviest bui...

Major incident at work today!
I have a factory in my hometown and own half a city block adjoining it in the downtown area. As a courtesy I allow paving contractors to use a portion of the area to stock pile materials and stage equipment. All I ask is that they respect my property and if conducive to all parties offer some type of...

Given the subject, my brain read 'live cast auction' as 'live cast iron auction'.
And, I had a cup of coffee this morning!

Re: reverser oil flow question
I can offer no guidance but in reading your very detailed posts it seems as though you are correct in assuming some type of restriction in the control oil flow. How to clean the system is the question. On other hydraulic system I have back flowed to a drain point(line removed etc). From the point of ...

Re: Backhoe weight
Ritchie specs say the 2WD is 14,285 and max weight is 17,545- which I believe is their way of saying 4WD. Bruce I agree with B Town. TLB's (Late 1970's forward) are a lot heavier than they look or one would think. I've got a Case 480E 2wd loader landscaper (loader and 6 way 6' box blade with ripper...
