Our Dedicated Pic Server is now up...as suspected the storms knocking out electric power put it down but does not reset till manually fixed...

carl, re..jd440 engine/block where are you located? i have diesel engine from donor...orig guy passed away before assembled completely left crank open and critter nested...see new gaskets installed and new blower...other engine is gas crank stuck block may be good other parts listed in for sale post...

ok...i'm baack!! now for the rest of the story.....gonna have Lavoy rebuild my cam pump....so had to take off my old pump...which still producing about 700psi and replaced it once again with the 'new' pump just to check it out once again......it produces absolutely nothing!!! am waiting to hear back...

we had similar situation with our david brown tractor....had like compression rings or sleeves that fit on steel tubing end with cap nuts over them,,,actually wore the metal off under the sleeve...was able to use red loctite, after letting set and dry before starting, which lasted for couple weeks a...

ahh so says da blind man, i see your point....i do have some 20 wt non detergent i can try again, just to see if i get a difference till our buddy Lavoy gets me a rebuilt one, a bit pricey but if i can use my free 10 gallons of iso 32 in it then thats o.k.....but i did have the 20w in before i rebui...

ok i went out and removed the silicone from the fitting ......run pressure test and still get the 600psi....so apparently no leak there....also no oil leak at the pump or anywhere else..pulled the dipstick and nice clear clean hyd oil...aw32..looked down tube and no foamy in reservoir....so can't be...

yes is repairable...seems you will have to take it apart clean it up and replace the pelletane ring...Lavoy should have them or can advise you where to get. someone else that has done this will probably advise you yet...meanwhile try searching this site for 'mouse turds' and read all about it....

am not sure of it being original fitting/suction line....the silicone is simply over the topside of the fitting and i make sure that i allow full drying time before i try anything. it actually appears to be a flared fitting. it simply appears to me that the pump just aint producing....and what is th...

ok was able to check pressure again....it reads at 600psi...when cold...seems after i use it a spell it get reluctant to lift the blade...after rebuilding the cylinders and getting 3 spool checked i can't see where any other problem would be other than the pump itself....thou it sure surprises me th...

hang onto that...i intend to check pressure again and see what that tells me...sure is aggravating...will call when i get it checked out. am also checking out a source to make gears and shafts if you mite be interested

worked my dozer for a bit and my old pump just aint going to hack it......wont lift blade ,,,and very hesitant to move angle and tilt...new pump didn't show any pressure at all...twice...soon as put old pump on i got pressure reading

someone talked about it at one time...were a bit pricey ifin i recall. just went thru taking off nose rad and cam pump on my jd440...got new used one and put it on,,,didn't work,,,put old one bacon and in shed it worked slow but it worked, took her out dozed a bit and now can't lift blade again..no ...
