Steve, Thanks for posting the link. I still have some life left in the clutches, I think. Previous owner never drained the clutch housings, I ended up freezing them both up first winter I had it from rusting and ice. I spent two weeks drying out the housings with a heat gun. Left side works real goo...

Track press
Haven't posted in a while, just been reading.
Came across an ad in the local paper of a place that has a press, and does track work in central Michigan. I don't know the place or anyone who has used them, but figured if anyone was interested I would post their info.

Thanks, I new someone would have the answer. I found the cylinders under the seat when I was drying out the clutches a couple months ago. Never thought that since I had power steering I might need a resevior somewhere. I figured it ran off the main hydraulics somehow. Luckily the reservior is full a...

what is this on my 350B ?
Almost done with the lube/service so I can move some dirt this spring and I find this under the hood. No mention of it in the "Lubrication" or "Service" section of my owners manual. To me looks like an oil accumulator like a race car would use. It has hard lines plumbed to it, they look like low pre...

350B hyraulic relief valve pop-up
I am finishing lubes/fluids checks etc on my 350B before I put it to work this spring. I noticed when lifting the blade up/down the hydraulic pop-up will jump up quickly and then go back down. As a read the manual, it sounds like the relief should stay up when the hyd. filter needs changed. Should I...

I have the rear covers. Hard to tell in the pictures will all the snow. I wondering if there were ones to cover the front of the adjuster, to keep all the garbage off the polished part of the cylinder. It looks like they don't make them. Just getting the dozer all greased for spring and was trying t...

350B track adjuster covers?
Evening, I am going to take a little tension out of my tracks and planned on cleaning the adjusters before relieving some of the hyd. press on them. Figured there is no sense making the seal clean any more dirt than it has to. I was wondering if Deere made sheet metal covers to help protect the trac...

heres a video
I found this video. Real similar to the people I buy from, but they follow right behind w/a conveyor, its a little more efficient than the video, but I think you get the idea of how it works. Forgot to mention, they were telling me their machine is also adjustable for width. I had a few pix at one t...

Those are for tree farms. Most of the newer stuff is CAT. You can run a coulter on each side by the tracks to side cut the tree roots before harvest. Also you run a piece that is the shape of a "U" that cuts each side and under the tree. Behind it there is a conveyor with a shaker to shake the exces...

warming up the 350 clutches
Thanks to all on here that helped me trouble shoot my steering. Ended up draining about 6 oz of water out the the right clutch housing. I dried each housing for a week with a hair dryer and left the plug out. Left side looked a lot better since the previous owner must have left the plug out of that ...

Hopefully this is the final update, at least on this part of my dozer. First, thanks to all of you who were right on guessing moisture before I even popped the inspection covers, and those who sent pics, and even sent me your phone number in case I got stuck. I drained the right clutch housing, whic...
