OK, what did I just look at??

I stopped by a farm a few minutes back and there sat a JD. It appeared to be a MC or 3 roller 40, But that is not the question. The question is about the blade on it. Outside mount, manual angle. A frame was connected to both cross bars the blade pivot was on the front one. The lift system was an en...

Hawkeye??

Went to a gun show last weekend. I bought a Hawkeye scope. Has anyone tried looking inside a tractor with one of these??  For those not familiar with a Hawkeye, it has a 17" long, 1/4" diameter optic tube for looking inside gun barrels. It has a 90 degree mirror on the end if desired.

I haven't heard the official temp yet, but hearing guys around the area talking -35. We were -24 about 8:00 last night, back up to that now. Grand Forks broke their record two nights ago, -38, we were only -28 the same night, so not sure what they had last night if we went below 30. International F...

Re: Are you smarter than a 1010??????????????????

Do NOT crank said engine over to blow the aforementioned liquid out of the cylinder without putting a towel over the hole. Or, you will have a large sticky mess sprayed all over the crawler, the floor, the idiot standing by the crawler, the bench next to the crawler, the wall above the bench, and al...

Are you talking a power 6 way blade or the manual model 62 blade? Just wondering if anyone has ever modified a blade off a 440 to fit a 420. It is an after market "noname?" (came off of a 420). It has 4 way power, not on the angle, but I'm considering adding it when I mount it. A little welding and...

Well, it's 12 degrees out, the suns out and it's a nice day. The D-4 battery is on the bench hooked to the charger. Time to crank it up and clear the drive. There is a storm watch on for Sun with 12-18" more on the way so I better clear it while I can. :?

Get ready Lavoy it's headed your way.

Anyone got snow???

  Yeah right :? I'm moving snow with a small 4wd JD with a back blade and loader right now but it's getting too deep. I'm in the early repair/rebuild work on my 420 and plan mounting a 6 way blade on it. There's no way it'll be done this year so it looks like I'll have to start the D-4. :o...

repair manual/parts books.......again

My search didn't answer my questions. I know JD manuals overlap models and more than just your model may be needed. Can a sticky be added as to which manuals are needed for each model?? I'm going to start tearing down a 420 in a month or so and would like to know what I need. I do have some books no...
