You found the correct site right here.I'm sure Lavoy will respond shortly. However,if you're worried about going out of Maine to find obsolete parts for a 51 year old tractor, you probably shouldn't have started this project. These parts are in extremely low supply, wherever and whenever you can locate ...

You assumed correctly.Been in the excavating biz for 36 years now.I knew you weren't directing anything at me,you were just cautioning members, however your mistrust of Craigslist in general is totally without merit as there are much more legitimate users than scammers.Otherwise,I wouldn't advertise ...

If you're that paranoid about scams and virus's on Craglist from a farmer who has an old JD40 who probably just started to learn how to operate a computer or he had his grandson post his rig for him,you probably don't want to be on a computer at all.I use Craigslist everyday, both for advertising my ...

If you want real problems with the DOT[Dep't. of Trouble],then come to NY.We have DOT officers who go way beyond FMCSA reg's. who routinely give me the latex glove exam without the lube. One minute you're legal, the next time your not.I had one fellow excavator by me who recently got pulled over 3 tim...

JD40 for sale
I just saw an ad in Craigslist in the Hudson Valley,NY section for a 40 crawler dozer that was bought new by the farmer and only used it one week a year for 45 years pushing off corn silage. It also has a rear winch. He's asking $4500. Sounds like a real good buy.

Re: JD 440 parts in Australia? Need final drive housing
I have a 440 Lanz which i have started to pull apart. I have already spoken to Lavoy about clutch plates, bearings, etc but today after pulling the left final drive off i fond that the housing is in very bad shape. Someone has smashed it at some stage and it has been re-welded but the inner bearing...

Worth of my 440?
Because of this wonderful economy of ours, I might have to sell my 440ICD with 831 loader. The Detroit runs fine,5 sp. tranny is also good, the reverser is gone, the bottom is fair to good---what might it be worth?
