Talked to my JD parts guy today, he worked 20 years at an Equipment wrecker( they still have some old Deeres) so I am going to have him look for me also, but he wanted a part #. For the 420 block I have AT10394T might anyone have some #'s for 430/440 ?
Thanks

Cracked Block

Well, more bad news from the machinist today. My 420C block had sleeves in it, machinist said it was funny that they were not pressed in, they seemed to be glued with epoxy or permatex. Well when he bored them out we found out why- water jacket to cyl cracks. So now I need a block to go with the hea...

I would have stayed with a generator, but mine was not rebuildable- the rear mounting lug had been broken off, and the insides were smoked. I did not want to spend $200 for a new one. I get all my electrics from a local place called DC Engineering. A part of Romaine auto electric. I got the 6 volt p...

420 Head cracked

My machinist called last night and said do you want the good news or the bad? The good was he saved the crankshaft. The bad was the head is cracked between the valves on #2. So now I need to find a 420 head. I see heads with valves and seats in the $400 range, I assume these are from China, are they...

Oil leak at governor vent hole

Good evening, gentlemen. Today I decided to pull my generator for a rebuild, and ended up pulling the radiator to get the lower bolt out. I have only had this 1956 420C for about a month, and have been making repairs. My question is this, the front of the engine was covered with a thick oil and dust ...

I see you are in Washington, We have pins and bushings made through Pape Equipment in Tacoma (the pin and bushing shop is in Montesano) or Hydraulic repair and design (HRD). I have them matched up for oddball applications often.
