You should check the relief valve setting/spring. The spring may be broke or backed out so far that it kicks into relief (bypass) too easily.

It's been a while since I read through the timing sequence also, but that sounds correct. I'll check that. I don't think it's a fuel issue though. The engine sounds totally different as it's cranking over now after the short 5 sec. runtime yesterday. Seems like something internal messed up but I don...

Timeline is roughly this; Rebuilt engine 2-3 years ago and attempted to start. Found bad IP. Dozer sat for probably 6 months waiting on IP to be rebuild. Got pump back and tried to start and noticed compression getting into cooling system. It sat roughly another 6 months, during that time it was slo...

1010 Engine problem

Having some problems with the 1010 diesel, here's the background. Roughly 2-3 years ago the motor was torn down and a new deck installed with all new gaskets. Once it was back together, we found the IP had went bad, so it was rebuilt, along with the injectors tested and cleaned up. Once that got str...

Yep, you guys are probably seeing the DELO400. It's very common around here, but the Delo 100 is not. You want the Delo 100. If I remember right it's got the lowest ash content.

This pertains to an ICD, they are 12V from the factory so it should have the 12V bulbs.
The gassers are the 6V jobs.

At least you got it back up and running again and the fan is a fairly simple fix.

I was told that straight water actually cools the best. Maybe I was misinformed.

From my experience so far with our 1010 diesel, they are an absolute pain to bleed the air out. The only way we were able to get the air out was, someone put a rag around the fill neck on the fuel tank and blew into it. This applied a slight pressure to the fuel system. While he blew into the tank I...

I got a spray can from Steiner and it was an extremely good match to the John Deere Old Construction Yellow.

I'm not familiar with the 450's, but I think this is for a C. Not sure if they're the same or not.

From what I've heard, reverser parts are hard to come by in good/usable condition. As for your oil pan, good luck finding that. Mine had some really bad holes and I couldn't locate a good used one. I ended up cutting the bottom out of mine and welding a complete new bottom in. Be very careful if you...
