I like the plot and story line. Is “Bulldozer Impossible “ the title of the novel?

Sounds like a very productive trip. Would you tell me more about your new wiring harness. I have a short in my harness and would be interested in a source for a replacement.
Thank you, Bruce

Re: Pulling power 450c
IMO - it will depend if the track roll. The 450 will pull that tractor only if the tracks roll. Keep us posted

I think your next step is to order the new pipe with the sub’d number.

Re: New oil pump doesn't fit
I have not personally ran into this problem. But I have heard that the “new” pumps don’t work with the old tube. I have heard that a new pipe/pipes are needed.

Have you counted the track pads on each side to confirm the same number of links from left to right?

The rod end you are referring to is available as a reproduction. So……if you can’t get it loosened up, no worries.

Re: 450C track loader hose replacement question
Good deal. I was not as fortunate, mine were way tighter than “twist by hand” tight. Thankfully, I got both sides out and back in. Glad I replaced 12 hoses. I doubt I will be around for the next change out.

Re: BAD Diesel HELP
It sure sounds like a fuel starved situation. I agree with Jim, going to need to clean the screens coming out of the fuel tank and at the inj pump. Now is the time to open the fuel tank sump, clean it out/clean tank out and get the fuel tank sump working properly. Probably should flush the entire fu...

Re: jd 450 ignition switch
Your two 12 volt batteries should be wired in a parallel configuration. So stay with a 12 volt switch.

Re: 450c oil pressure falls to 5psi at hot idle
Hello Sir, I was taught you needed 10 # of pressure to keep the oil gap. I would say yours is low. Probably too low. Did you do any work on the oil pump? I assume the in-frame didn’t include cam bearings or balancing shaft bearings. These can be common site of oil pressure loss. Best regards, Bruce

Here is the neutral safety switch in the parts book (#14). https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/73571/referrer/navigation/pgId/170974 As mentioned earlier, it is under the left floor board. You will need to remove the two bolts holding the floor board, then the floor board itself...

Re: new to the 450c crawler need help died and won't crank?
If the vent is plugged, when you open the fuel cap, sometimes there is a sucking vacuum for a second. Some will leave the cap loose to vent and finish working until they can get to the shop and properly open the vent. In a sense you have relieved the fuel starvation. The small mechanical transfer pu...
