I don't mean to be a defeatist, but they're pretty hard to find. I've been looking for a used one for sale for about 2 years and haven't seen one yet :)

If you haven't seen it, you can buy new aftermarket ones here:

Have you seen jdemaris's posts here? http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=3516&highlight=injector+rebuild It does sound like you want 27333 (for non-turbo) and not 27336 (for turbo). I'm guessing that the turbo injectors will probably fit, but run richer or leaner than what you want.

Re: I saw something really sad today !

I called the scrap yards owner as soon as I got home and he wouldn't even consider selling it to me. I've never known a scrapper to turn down more profit. I would call back and tell him to name his price. If he won't give you a price, tell him "Fine, I'll just have to spend this lotto money on some...

Out of curiousity, what was the article about? Was it specific to crawlers or something else?
Here's the summary:

I would scan the article and post it, but that's probably stealing :)

Farm Show Magazine

Hey Lavoy, I was just paging through the latest edition of Farm Show and came to photo of a steering clutch assembly and wouldn't you know it, there was an article about you under it! Congratulations on your new fame :)

P.S. Did they fly you to Hawaii to retrofit that plantation dozer?

Are you sure you have the steering clutch assembly supported enough by your hoist? It sounds like you might have the weight of the assembly keeping you from pulling the drive shaft out. The service manual says to spin the brake band once you get the yoke pin out and to hook your chain on each end of...

tjdub if I take the filler plate off, what is under there. The manual shows some kind of filter assembly under there. Is that the only filter in the hydraulic system on this tractor? That should probably be checked anyway. Yep, it's just a screen that you can take out and clean up. That's the only ...

machinerytrader.com maintains a list of machines being parted out here:

It usually doesn't give much detail, but it at least may give you a place nearby to start making calls.

I wouldn't mess with taking that sight glass off. It sounds like trouble. Maybe just take the screen/filler cap assembly out of the top and then pump the oil out with a hand pump? Other than that, there's a line that goes from that reservoir to the hydraulic pump. Maybe there's a place to disconnect...

I just linked to the picture on jdparts.deere.com. I looked it up under model 6405 (the 6-way blade model). I'm not sure if the drain plug is there on all versions.

There should be a drain plug on the bottom (#6).

Another thing I just thought of is if you have a hydraulics shop in your area, you might just want to take that stuck adjuster in to them. I'm guessing they could press it apart and put a new seal in for a lot cheaper than buying a new adjuster.

Look at it this way: If you can't get it free, it's of no use to you . If you get it free and you wreck the seal in the process, you can put new seals in it. If you can't get it free at all, you can't use it OR put new seals in. So by all means do what you can to get it free, even if it means you wr...

I forgot to mention that you should take a pick and clean out all the dirt you can from around around the seal if you haven't done so already. If you force dirt in there when you compress it, you might bind it up worse still. One of mine was stuck this spring and I got it free with the grease gun, b...

First try to get grease into it (i.e. tighten the track) with a good lever-type grease gun. If you can manage to break it free in that direction, you should then be able to compress it with the blade. You might have to go back in forth by pumping in grease, then taking the plug out and compressing i...
