Re: Breaking News - 400G has arrived

I think the 400 is more of less 450 engine and drive train on 350 undercarriage

Re: 450 Refurb

Very timely photos. I am just starting into this repair with my 450C. Lacking your tooling and the skills to use them I will be installing a new Paint Valley RH side frame.Hope fully I will get by without having to do thread repairs

Re: JD350 Loader Boom not working - Hydraulic Pump Disconnect??

The drive hub which bolts on to the fan belt pulley on the engine seems to be a relatively common failure point. Just changed one on my 450C and the same part number crosses over to 350's as well. If you have the splined hub just check that the pump driveshaft is rotating at high speed when the engi...

Carrier roller on 450C

Looks like I will be changing a carrier roller on my 450C dozer soon. Do I need to break the track for this or can I slack off track tension and block the track up enough to do it intact?

Re: Dozer purchase JD Dozer comparison/info

I believe a 400 is more or less a 450C drive train on a 350 undercarriage. Somewhere on this forum there were some comments about them not being that good at putting the extra power to the ground.

450C hydraulic pump not turning

Hi. Trying to bust through a windrow of frozen dirt and logs with my 450C manual outside dozer today. After winching a log out of the mess went to lift blade and nothing happened. Oil was visible in sight glass, no unusual noise. Looked at pump drive, splined drive shaft turning very slowly, somethi...

450C 6410 dozer parts wanted

Anybody out there have JD pt# U16696 IPC figure 75-6 item 21 clamp and wedges in serviceable condition? This is the piece that attaches the dozer push arm to the track on the back of dozer blade on a 450 outside mount dozer. Managed to break one of the ears off mine.
Thanks

6410 dozer parts for JD450C

I broke the ear off 1 of the clamps that attaches the push arm to the blade and also allows for blade tilt on the outside mount dozer on my JD450C. Would any one out there have JD part number U16696 IPC figure 75-6 item 21 clamp in serviceable condition they would be willing to part with?

Re: Injector removal 3 - 179 CID engine

Wasn't the rubber torsional isolator a 350D model thing and the 350C had a disc with about 5 big springs on it that like to fly off and lock up the engine?

Re: House Separation 350 will not move

Almost certainly the splined coupler as Lavoy suggested. I had to fly in to a bush camp a number of years ago to repair this exact scenario. Loose attachment hardware between transmission and reverser allowing flexing at the joint between the 2. Remove engine, remove reverser, repair stripped attach...

420 dozer for sale 5hours down the road

Hi. I own a 65 350 straight loader with Case back hoe attachment and dozer blade off a MF 200 crawler, it needs steering clutches and a reverser rebuild, a 75 350C 6 way dozer with winch and pin on rake and good U/C that has a cracked steering clutch housing and slop in the track frame to fwd X bar ...

If you are going to pull the tranny screen make sure you drain transmission oil first or it will dump when you remove screen cover
