1010 diesel crank case oil capacity
i purchased a basket case 1010 diesel and it does not have a dip stick and im going to dump the oil and try and cranck it over and see if i can get it to light up . what is the capacity of the crank case and is the stick the same as gas or diff, i do have a gasser already and it would make the check...

its a tough spot to view with loader arms down and the machine not running to raise them any body have a 24 splitter that could be shown here or its exact location . i suspect this is a 12 volt system and somebody was trying to magiver a start on this unit . and yes wiring digram would be helpfull .

thanks im going to need a team on this one - thanks for the advice - i will peak under the dash and see if i can see that 24 splitter , and i will advise my guy that i should switch the coil and fields , and the woods man and i - i think are going to be good friends by the time this is back runnng -...

i can see im going to have problems with this , starter # is 1107559 . and i have not started but will be trying soon and i am going to assertain if this unit will run . so ill be hunting for this relay under the dash - the 24 volt split . and try and tell better but i may have a 24 volt starter and...

thanks for the replies - keep them coming - im going to need some assistance on this , i suspect its a gen, just because of its size vs an alt that would look automotive size . I will try and post a picture but it will take some time .

yes i did discuss the serial with the rebuilder and i left the starter with him , i cannot recall the # but will email him and see if i get a reply . I can only see one spot for a battery so i suspect we have an incorrect starter , but hope that it will work . i have heard these dont start well . ca...

I have a serial - engine 18773, and found the starter loose with no bolts , so i pulled back the fuel filter boss and took the starter out to be rebuilt , i found it to be 24 volts and i can only see where the one battery sits - under the seat , and i can only assume its the right starter but with o...

thanks for the replies , i personally have used the weld method for a few items and successfull , the easy out i have never used . the easy out is pounded in and it is opposite thread so to speak and bites in on the counter clock wise ? im going to give it a shot .
