hello all, ok, here we go... pulled the marvel schebler off this morn. again, completely disassembled it, cleaned all jets & journals. main jet was nasty! thank's Duke :) re-set float @ 1/4" re-assembled. installed on my 58, 420. ran idle screw in all the way, then out two turns. fired her up, after...

Thank you for the advice , When i rebuilt the carb. I pulled the idle screw, & the load screw, thouroghly cleaned them & thier gally's. re-set them as per the manual. Replaced the throttle shaft, viton Needle & seat, & new floats. All ignition parts, & wiring are new. I think i will play with the id...

hello gentlemen. 420 12 volt wiring diagram
I researched it and found out that I do have a 12 volt single wire G.M. style alt.
and because I don't have any accessories, such as lights, etc. I shouldn't need a regulator.
next step will be to clean up the wiring
