its typically a brass fitting that goes on the back of the cylinder head in the fuel return. Externally looks the same a a regular fiitting but when removed if you look at the male end of the fitting you will that it was a solid centre drilled to a smaller opening than normal hence the name restrict...

I cant say on the 2-53 but on 3-53 and 4-53t that ive put in trucks or the larger 71 series the fuel flow has alway been steady . its a gear type fuel pump i would make sure the restrictor is definately in place . they can hard to tell as some just look like regular elbows but if you look closely yo...

Almost sounds like its was meant to be connected cause its an open spool that flows constantly and by installing two female couplers you inadverntly stopped the circulation building hydraulic pressure stopping the engine from turning at proper speed to start. But I could wrong but I,m pretty sure if...

Few pics of the job I had for my 420c

Thought I would post a couple pics of the first job I did with my 420c . The property we bought had no road in so I cut down a bunch of trees and brought in 30 some tandem loads od pit run from a nearby pit. The old 420 did very well even though the material had tp be pushed quite some distance. htt...

This reminds me of a 2007 sunfire I worked on for a friend,I suggested it sounded like a timing issue, they informed me the timing chain was replaced by the dealer 11 months earlier, and now the car would start but run like crap wouldn,t rev up and was throwing all kinds of error codes, Canadian Tire...

I think alot of has to do with the machine and soil type. The d65 ex I used to run hated slopes several operator walked the track of grading dikes. It had new rails with less 50 hrs and that didnt resolve the issue. The wound up buying a d3 with a 6-way blade that seemed to do ok. I know my jd 420 wi...

Any slope where you hear the sprockets making noise against the rails is causing increased wear. You might get away with it on occasion but its best to avoid undercarriages are just to costly to replace. Sometime its just a matter of looking over the job and trying to find a way to attack the job and...

I was always told to avoid drivin any dozer sideways on a slope due to fact its extremely easy to walk the tracks off. Most bosses I worked for would fire operators on the spot if they caught them doing so. Sounds like what you heard what the sprocket hitting the rails before dropping in to the cent...

i find that going slow and steady yields the best result when levelin with a blade. then back it to finish it. works well with d65 i run at work or my 420c. as for leveling with a bucket we do that all the time with the komatsu wa380 loader. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v303/caribcanuk/th_catpa...
