Those cylinders are/were used not only on blade but remotely on pull behind attachments of different sorts ie. harrows ect. where limiting stroke of cylinder is necessary.

I once had the gas boiling issue on an 8N ford, battery hold -down had rusted to the point
that it got loose enough for the positive post on the battery came in contact with the bottom of the gas tank. Before I realized it had happened, the gas in the tank was boiling.
Very tedious situation.

Photocopying is at times viewed as unethical by some, against the law by others, especially publishers of the material, because of copyright issues. Could possibly result in some very expensive reference material.

Gregjo, I'm thinking of doing the same on one of my 350's. Sure would like to see a
photo or diagram of how you set up the cylinder and blade for the tilt function.

There was a lengthy discussion on this topic back on January 12, 2012, i don't know how to bring up sight, but i have 67 350 dozer and a loader I believe is a 68. The dozer has small narrow hydraulic tank with no filter and the loader has the long tank with the filter with the 6 bolts on top. There ...

We could keep this going on and on but no purpose would be served. Very respectfully, like I said; anyone can do whatever they want with their tractor and I'll do the same with mine.

No offense to anyone who wants to shim up their clutch disk pack. Its their tractor and mine is mine. I have two 350's that I have renewed the steering clutches with new parts throughout. I am too old to be pulling finals, expecially by myself. My dad was an auto mechanic for over fifty years and ta...

Just a comment, adding a disk to take up space for worn disks, is not the answer
for slipping steering clutches due to wear. From experience, i won't go to all the
work to pull a final without replacing disk with new ones.

My straight 350 with reverser has the isolater with the springs ect. and makes the typical noises. Lavoy mentioned for me to look for a salvage flywheel. Could you clearify which flywheel i need.
Sorry, i missed it somewhere.

I have a flywheel that came off a straight 350 which did not have a reverser. Would
it be what i need?

Lavoy, I would certainly be interested in one for a straight 350. Let us know when you come up with something.

Most likely the worrisome clunk-clunk at shutdown is the torsional isolater between engine and reverser making its familar noise that most early 350's make. Not much you can do about it.
