Main Engine Pressure Plate Adjustment

Good Evening All, The clips on the pressure plate shown are covering the adjustment bolt for the pressure plate fingers. Do I just pry these clips off in order to adjust? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks Dave http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/foxd6344/IMG_20140207_165625_592_zps891466...

JD62 Cylinder

Wondering if anyone may have some parts laying around from a hydraulic cylinder off a JD62 blade? I was rebuilding my cylinders awhile back and discovered that one of the parts had a broken casting. It is item 25, listed as a cylinder head (Casting Number U10053). I don’t need the whole cylinder jus...

Were in Iowa are you Walt? I recently sold a junk 440ICD with what appeared to be two good final drives to a guy here in SE Iowa. I am not sure if he still has the crawler, has parted it out, or scrapped it, but might be worth a call. The guys name is Phillip Grandinetti I looked up his name online ...

My father is the one that told me a couple weeks ago that they reopened to archives. I will ask him where he heard that.

Lavoy, Thanks for clearing up that there were in fact ag green 440's. Looks like there were only about 2341 440I wheel tractors made, probably not a lot of ag green ones. If I decide to buy this tractor I will definitely do a SN research. I have heard that rather than going through Two Cylinder, a p...

1958 440I Wheel Tractor

I came across a 1958 440I wheel tractor with a #71 loader yesterday. I am a bit puzzled. It is currently painted green. On the wide front end and brake petals I can see yellow paint under the green. However, on the hood, dash and most of the remainder of the tractor there is no sign of yellow paint ...

430 Question

Can anyone confirm for me that a 430 tractor hood and a 430 crawler hood are the same? The parts book lists H, S, T, U & W, but no mention of C.
Thanks - Dave

440IC For Sale

I have posted information on this machine recently. I paid $1200 for the machine, and removed the winch for use on my 430C. I am going to sell the rest of the machine for $1000 for parts or restoration. If I cannot sell it I will probably have to haul to the scrap, which of course I do not want to s...

Finally got this machine moved indoors and started playing around a bit. I am trying to verify if the motor is stuck. I pulled the starter, replaced the solenoid, hooked up a battery, got it to engage and spin, then reinstalled. However it would not roll the motor over. I then put a wrench on the fr...
