Fuel Filter for a 440 ICD

Hello, does anyone have a good part number for a fuel filter for a 440 diesel? The number I have is obsolete according to JD. I have also run the number through Detroit Diesel and it will not fit my housing. The filter housing says Commercial Filters Boston Mass. Thanks, Tom.

Winch drive

Lavoy, were these winches all driven from the pto? Do you have to have a pto shaft to drive the winch? Were there any hydraulic driven winches? Thanks, Tom.

Picture in the upper left corner

Hello, not that it really matters, there is a picture of this loader on a three roller crawler in the upper left corner. The loader looks the same, but with a much smaller bucket. I am not saying that you should keep the loader on the crawler, but maybe it is more rare with this loader on it. I agre...

What is the weight of a 440 diesel with a loader?

Just bought a 440icd and was wondering what the weight is roughly. I have to decide what trailer to take. Thanks, Tom

440 Gas or Diesel

Just wondering if one is better than the other. Are diesels more reliable than gas engines or is it the other way around? Thanks for any replies, Tom. 8)

Jimmy, I have always had a front throw, because of bad bogies. I have split the track once or twice and used the puller to pull it all back together. It worked quite well. I bought mine from a surplus dealer by Savahna IL. I will try to post a picture of it this week. Steamfitter99

Front Idler and throwing tracks

I need to rebuild the front bogies of a 420c. I was wondering if someone has the bearing numbers for the bearings, and maybe the shaft number as well. Thanks, Steamfitter99 :P

Hello, I picked up a track strecher on ebay a number of years ago and it works quite well. It is on the same line as a bar clamp, but it is specifically made for track pads. The one I have is military surplus. Check out ebay.
