Another question , some of the bigger parts like the trany and final drive housing like where it bolts to the rear crossmember the bolt holes have heli coils in them, will it be safe to torque them to spec

Im glad Ed has the parts , took the other side apart and found that clutch housing also cracked .I guess that this is going to cost a small fortune to get back. Together.

Called Ed, nice guy we talked for at least 45 minutes . He had the clutch housing , now back to the tear down thanks lavoy.

Clutch housing

I'm in the process of fixing my transmission and replace the clutches , well I just found that the clutch housing and right side had some welding done to it before. The welds are cracking and it has a new crack , should I just get a new housing?

It's kind of like a trany build on my truck , make sure everything is clean and replace everything. It's safe insurance.

the cluster gear has alittle wear on the cornners it from the second gear rubbing against it, should i replace the cluster also

trany rebuild

im having to replace my second gear and will have to tear down everything to pull the output shaft and ring gear , will it be ok to just put it all back together and not check for shimm tolerences or take the time and check them all.

my 350's blade controls are leaking and i cant seem to find the right seals. everthing says they are o-rings but mine has vee seals .
