LOL... Yeah if it's free and out of gear, they'll roll real easy. And it doesn't take much of a slope to get going on it's own. Don't ask me how I know. :o

All I really need is the output shaft and housing. (I think) Am I correct in assuming that all I need to do is remove the "cap" and install the shaft/housing? The pto shifter is in place but I've never checked to see if it did anything yet. I was surprised at the lengh of the shaft. (In Pete...

Show Off! Nice find!

Is the PTO shaft splined? If so, what size and how many splines? Are there two bearings in the pto shaft housing?

Yep/Nope, They don't work. Besides getting a blank screen, I get a pop-up saying I should get an MSN Net pass something or other. Bag that!

How soon will you be needing it? I've got a 420C but I've been waiting for rain and cooler weather to get a couple of fence lines cleared. I need the rain to soften the ground around here. I need the cooler weather because it's been dang HOT here this Summer (and Fall). I probably won't be selling u...

I don't mean to demean your pictures Lavoy but they get worse as they get bigger. They're great for identification, look and shape at the tractor level. But when someone asks for pictures of a 3pt hitch, a view of the whole tractor doesn't help much. If I run across parts, I'd like to know what they...

Look in the pictures page and there should be a pic of a 3PT crawler.
Anyone have a "good" picture of a 3pt hitch?

Hey Lavoy, those pictures look like ebay pictures--small and blury. Is there a link to the originals or bigger pictures?

My 420 won't start unless the choke is pulled. Once it starts, you have to immediately push the choke back in or it billows black smoke. With the slightest weak ignition, it would be easy to flood. Even old gas could be a culprit. I think this is a trait with up-draft carbs because I see the same pr...

I was thinking I had a problem with my 420 until I found out the shift pattern was not what I was expecting. It is NOT like an auto so you may want to be sure you've checked the shift pattern. Just a thought.

The PTO. I need to add a pto output shaft to the back. Is there a casing that replaces the "cap" on the back of the final? Is there anything else I would need besides a casing with bearings and the output shaft?

I mentioned the 3pt parts because I don't want the whole shibang--Just the pto.

What's needed to add a PTO?

I think I can probably add a cylinder under the seat to handle the lift part and fabricate the link mounts. What would be needed for the drive. Just the housing and shaft?

Sounds like the water pump is cavitating or you don't have enough coolant. Maybe an air pocket in the block. It depends on what type of paint you used too. My 420 has been running around 175 on the temp gauge and that's when the outside temps have been 100+.
