Re: Final Drive identification
What gasket(s) are you looking for/at? A quick look at the online parts catalog looks like the gasket for the bottom pan of the final drive shows two different gaskets were used, due to a production change to the final drive housings. One is for crawlers serial number 20538 and prior. The second gas...

Re: jd 350 WINCH
I don't think 3015 is a winch. The 3310 Manual winch is the older winch used on 350s. The 3315 Power winch is the later winch and the one you want to find I believe.

Re: Zerk fitting on track adjusters
On one hand they are run of the mill, if you buy the ones that the check valve ball is good for about 8000 psi. The John Deere numbers are JD7797 or SW 14902. Alemite has some good for 8000 psi. I had the specs on the JD ones, but I think they are in the info on a portable drive that quit working on...

Re: JD 450B - no vin tag
If the ripper came off a 450B, and all the mounting parts are there, it should mechanically bolt on. If it came off a different machine, you might have to fabricate mounting parts. You would need all the hydraulic parts for it. Unless your 450B had one on it, or some other hydraulic attachment and l...

Re: '73 - 450B Crawler/Loader/Hoe Restoration
I'm taking the lazy way out here, and not reading all of your posts, to find the answer to this question. Didn't you send the pump out and have it done? If so, you should talk to the shop that did it before you try anything on your own or with advice from anyone. The pump has a governor, which shoul...

Re: JD 450B - no vin tag
x2 on the info from B Town. Is the serial number tag still on the engine? If so, what is the complete number on it? That might let us confirm which engine it has. As for the dash. The panel was available with the large (fifth) hole if the tachometer option was used. If the tachometer was not used th...

Re: JD 450B - no vin tag
There should be two 1/8" rivet holes, about 3" apart, where the serial number tag would have been. You should find them in one of two places. The right side of the panel below the seat for a straight 450 or a 450B serial number 142199 and prior. Or for serial number 142200 and after, they will be in...

Re: JD 450D - no vin tag
Welcome to the board.
Is the engine turbocharged? Is the ID tag on the engine? It should be in the area between the end of the starter and the engine oil filter. Is the nose more rectangular than rounded, at the top?

Re: 450c Hydraulic Pump to Crank Pulley COUPLER
1994 won't be a 450C, the last of those built were 1983. The 450G was in production in 1994. cordlesscarpenter may be along with info on what he used for a coupler to the hydraulic pump. He was going to put an even newer engine (4039) into a 450B, but ended up swapping it for another 4219 I believe....

Re: How to bleed air from a 350c/ or fuel problems
The check valve allows excess fuel out of the injection pump to return to the fuel tank during operation. It also lets air out and prevents fuel or air coming back into the pump. Another test, to determine if the problem is internal to the pump, is to loosen the two screws holding the small cover pl...

Re: Leaking fuel filter drain.
Try an industry standard #903 O-ring with a Durometer of 90. Material needs to be fuel service rated, like Buna-N.

Re: How to bleed air from a 350c/ or fuel problems
The shut off solenoid is internal of the pump, under the top cover. If you decide to pull the cover off be very careful as things in there must go together correctly and cleanliness cannot be stressed enough. As I posted before try a jumper wire to bypass the switch and wiring between the switch and...

Re: 450C fuel strainer on I.P.?
If it runs, an injector with air should clear itself after a couple minutes of runtime, without bleeding.

Re: 450C fuel strainer on I.P.?
After reading LeonardL's reply, a thought occurred to me. Is this a new issue or has it been ongoing? If it has been this way since you got it there is the chance the injection pump is not right for the application. If this engine came from a stationary application, the pump adjustments and governor...
